This bag opening equipment is designed to rip open and remove bags holding municipal solid waste so that it can be sorted with subsequent processes.
Collected MSW is most often packed in PP woven bags or simple plastic trash bags. Our bag openers feature steel knives that are fixed to a rotating drum to rip open the bags and save workers from the tedious task of manually cutting open bags. Materials form the bags are discharged to subsequent sorting systems.
Bag openers are commonly applied as feeding devices in MRF and MBT systems. For MRF applications, uninterrupted uniform feeding after bag opening needs to be guaranteed to achieve high sorting efficiency and precision. In MBT systems, the bag opener can be combined with shredding equipment for high speed, efficient processing. Additionally, bag openers are also used to split waste bales in RDF processing.
